Raising Children Bilingual - A Mother’s Perspective.

Raising Children Bilingual - A Mother’s Perspective.

Sandra from @_our.enchanted.farm has shared her perspective on raising bilingual children in Australia.

"Hi, my name is Sandra, I have two girls aged 2.5 years and 5 years whose Aussie accent when they speak German is quite hilarious. When I was pregnant with my first child, I knew that I wanted to teach my daughter German. Mainly because I wanted her to be able to talk to my family, who hardly speak any English. I have learned three languages at school with English being one of them but when I came to Australia in 2016 I had to relearn a lot of the words I hadn’t used in years. That’s part of the reason why I started my Instagram account, it allowed me to practice and get in touch with other people who share my passion for teaching and learning."
