1. Halloween Oobleck:

For messy sensory thrills, create an oobleck tray using only 2 ingredients (2 parts cornflour + 1 part water). Add some bugs, bones or googly eyes to give it a spooky feel.

2. Pumpkin Spice Cloud Dough:
This is a real treat for the senses (seriously no tricks)! Cloud dough or “moon sand” is moldable and taste safe but this recipe also smells boo-tiful. You’ll need: 4 cups of flour, ½ cup of vegetable oil, spices of your choice, essential oils optional for extra scent.

3. Craft Pumpkins:

4. Sensory Rice & Fizz:
Create a spooky sensory rice bin and make it extra magical with the element of fizz. Pour, scoop, and mix away for some potion themed play. For DIY fizz: You’ll need bicarb soda + vinegar to add.

5. Cotton Pad Pumpkins:

A sweet as pumpkin pie activity for your little monsters! By working fine motor muscles and  practicing hand eye coordination they turn the cotton pad pumpkins orange. You’ll need: cotton pads, food dye + water, a pipette or dropper.

6. Halloween Ice Play:
Giving us the chills with this spooky ice play. Freeze googly eyes and spiders into ice cubes and then watch your little ones work to melt or break the ice. You’ll need: ice cube tray, food colouring (optional), water, goggly eyes / spiders etc.

7. Spooky Jelly:

Grab some halloween themed molds and recreate this frightfully messy jelly play. You’ll need: gelatine powder, food colouring, water and glitter (optional). If you don’t have molds - try using a bowl or dish to make your jelly and add spooky accessories.

8. Spaghetti Cutting:

Green, orange and purple spaghetti with creepy crawlies hidden throughout. It’s not a trick, this is a monster way to use scissors and work fine motor skills. To colour spaghetti add food colouring to the water as it boils. Spaghetti is perfect for scissor practise, and tongs. You’ll need: spaghetti, food colouring, bug toys and scissors (or other utensils).
